The Great Blood Beast: Part 3

The red beast sat,
Looking over it's prize.
And it laughed,
A menacing growl,
Smirking o'er it's meal.
Then movement caught it's eye.
Ah, what a surprise.

The jaguar was back.
Oh, that black cat.

"Why have you done this?"
He asked, teary-eyed.
"Simply the game"
"Again I ask why?!"
"For what she will do,
For what she is!
A game, vermin, a game.
It's simply the biz."
The beast smirked,
So proud of it's catch.

The jaguar stepped forward,
Then took his true form.
He was deep-skinned,
Young and flawless,
Eyes a shimm'ry gold.
A young man from God
With fire in his heart.

He stepped closer,
Eying the dragon with fury.
He withdrew his sword,
Stepped over her body,
His wings of silver light
Spreading open with a flurry
Of dark-dispelling glory.
He stood strong,
His stare unrelenting,
As an ethereal fire fell,
Filling the cave.
His favorite moment,
His favorite smell,
As the beast backed in fear,
Fear of the Almighty One.

With plasma in his eyes
And power in his voice,
He parted his lips and spoke,
His words filling the air.
"Never again harm her,
Nor taste of her blood.
Neither bring her despair,
Or place fear in her mind.
And know this,
You sick abomination,
If you ever touch her,
Or her future family,
By the Master's sword will you go,
Screaming into the abyss.
Your head shall be my battle trophy."

The beast backed further.
From it's lips came a murmur
Of foul words and screams.
It growled and hissed,
Frozen with fear of the Almighty.

"Now LEAVE!"

The beast burst from the alcove,
Screeching into the air above.
It had fled,
At least for now.
There was still much ahead.
